Extremely Rare two-page ALS of President Theodore Roosevelt (only six weeks after being sworn in as President upon McKinley's death) on 4.25" x 5.25" White House card stock stationery to the President of Union League Club of Philadelphia, eloquent thank you for recent honor, in part: "... I can say with all sincerity that there is no other organization in existence from which I would more keenly appreciate such an honor ..." Significant content, staining from tape residue on verso, repaired crease or tear, artfully custom framed and matted with portrait overall size 17" x 30." This lot is accompanied by a letter from PSA/DNA.
