Entitled "The Spirit of Sport," this set of six signed lithographs was created by artist Robert Peak to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Special Olympics. Peak's goal was to "express in form and color those transcendent qualities - courage, perseverance, dedication - which define that spirit of sport." What resulted was a series of images that were inspired by well known athletes Frank Gifford, Pele, Joe DiMaggio, Wilt Chamberlain, Chris Everett Lloyd, and Jack Nicklaus. Each measures 27" x 36" and is printed on heavy stock, signed by the artist and athlete in pencil, and numbered out of 300. Each print has a corresponding fact sheet that features a quote from the athlete and artist about what inspired it. The set comes housed in its original box. The autographs come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
