Very rare 1937 half sheet measuring 22" x 28" from the Republic film "Manhattan Merry-Go-Round," featuring a young Joe DiMaggio in his only movie role. DiMaggio plays himself in this story about a record company taken over by gangsters who attempt to impose their will on the unwilling performers. Joe D is pictured in the poster crooning into a microphone, as well as other stars Cab Calloway and Gene Autry (in his first film appearance). The poster is linen backed and shows minor restoration, with some pinholes on the borders, taking nothing away from this highly desirable poster!
