In 1958, a small plastics company in Hartland, Wisconsin decided to cash in on the popularity of Milwaukee Braves baseball players and designed a few life-like statues of Eddie Mathews, Hank Aaron, Warren Spahn and two legendary Yankees, Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle. The statues were formed to appear life-like by using drawings of the players in their actual poses. The statues were originally sold in dime-stores and big league concession stands. In 1988, Hartland Plastics, Inc. re-released the authentic statues exactly how they were originally made. Offered here are eight of the statues, including Willie Mays, Duke Snider, Hank Aaron, Mickey Mantle, Stan Musial, Ted Williams, Yogi Berra, and Roger Maris. The statues come in their original boxes, with disconnected bats, and the original packing peanuts. The boxes are in excellent condition, and the stautues are rated near mint to mint.
