The New York Mets won their first ever World Series in 1969. This lot includes the New York Times page 57 from the October 17, 1969 issue, as well as that page's engraving plate. The page features headshots of the entire 69 team going around the border. In the center is a photo of Gil Hodges, and some of the managerial staff. The metal engraving plate has the same image, and was used in the NY Times printing process. Both pieces are framed and in EX condition. The overall size of the two items is 17-1/2" x 25-3/4".
