Connie Mack owned and managed the Philadelphia Athletics for over half a century. Mr.Mack coached his A's to five World Series championships. Connie managed for so long, he holds the record for most games managed, most games won, and most games lost. Offered here is Mack's personal desk fixture. It is made of a heavy brown and black marble base, with two intricate metal inkwells, and a standing metal elephant. In the center of the fixture is a raised silver nameplate which reads "1910 World Champions Mgr. Connie Mack." One of the inkwells still has a white pewter ink holder, which was broken, and later repaired. Overall the piece is in very good to excellent condition.
