Between the years 1970 and 1972, the Pittsburgh Pirates finished first in the National League East three times, making all the signatures on this baseball those of first place finishers. There is no one signature among the 15 on the ball that gives a specific indication as to what year(s) that player was on the team, but those present include Clemente, Stargell, Sanguillen, Oliver, Pagan, Walker, Hebner, and Moose among others. They are done in black marker and rate from 7 to 9, with Clemente being an outstanding example. The ball is an ONL Giles that shows heavy wear and has an even tone. The autographs come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
