After a dismal seventh place finish the year before, Ted Williams led the charge as the 1946 Boston Red Sox tore through the American League taking home the pennant. Twenty-seven members of that year's roster have signed this "Paul Campbell" signature model Louisville Slugger which has had the back barrel cut off to give them a flat signing surface. Signatures include Ted Williams, Bob Doerr, Pinky Higgins, John Logan, Johnny Pesky, Eddie Pellagrini, Rudy York, Dom DiMaggio, and others. All are done in pencil rating 6-8. Also included in this lot is an original 10" x 16" team photo. It is in good condition with fold lines visible and many additional surface creases. The autographs come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
