Tony Gwynn wrapped up his 20-year career with the San Diego Padres as one of only 16 players to have played at least 20 seasons and play for a single team. This lot offers a game-used Tony Gwynn bat. On the bat there are black ball transfer marks, and two rings of tape on the handle, one 3" ring, and another 2" ring directly along the knob, with some overlapping. Gwynn's player number "19" is marked on the knob. This bat is signed by Tony Gwynn in blue marker just above the handle. The signature rates a near 8. Manufacturer: Hillerich & Bradsby, Model Number: B267, Labeling Period: 1980-83, Length: 33-1/2 inches Weight: 28 ounces, Wood: Ash, Finish: Standard.
