Since joining the New York Yankees at the start of the 2002 season Jason Giambi has become something of a hometown hero. The four time All-Star is just coming into his own, and being a player who excels in the spotlight, he is sure to be the Yanks' regular first baseman for years to come. This bat shows picture perfect Giambi use, with attributes including his player number "25" on the knob in familiar style. Ball transfer and hit marks are visible on the barrel as well as deep cleat marks and a moderate coat of pine tar applied to the upper handle. It is very slightly cracked at the centerbrand.
