Dave Bing made his NBA debut in 1967 and put up stellar numbers taking home Rookie of the Year honors. He would play another 11 seasons establishing himself as a star among stars, a players' player who quietly went about his job even when injury threatened to sideline him. He was enshrined in basketball's Hall of Fame in 1990. In addition, when the NBA picked it's all-time top 50 players Bing's name was put on the list as one of the players who had made a lasting impression on the game. We offer here a very rare jersey worn by Bing during last year with the Detroit Pistons. On the left front tail is the "Wilson" manufacturers label with the size "42." Adjacent to this is a white flag tag with washed out writing due to repeated use. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Detroit" and below this is the player number "21" which also appears on the back. Above the number on the back is the name "Bing." All of the letters and numbers are done in white tackle twill with a wide red stitch. The jersey shows good game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. A superb example of this rare shirt from one the games top 50 players of all-time.
