At the close of the 1982-83 NBA season, the Philadelphia 76ers met the Los Angeles Lakers in the Finals for the third time in just four years. The previous season saw the 76ers fall to the Lakers, who fielded a team that was just too powerful to stop. In 1983, the balance of power shifted as Julius Erving and friends teamed up with the newly acquired Moses Malone to take down Los Angeles in just four games. For Dr. J, who had won two championships in the ABA, the victory allowed him to take home his first NBA Championship ring and was the crowning achievement of his Hall of Fame NBA career. This pair of size 15-1/2 white "Converse All-Star" hightop sneakers was worn by Erving during that historic series. On the outside of each shoe is "Dr. J" in red lettering placed there by the manufacturer. They show nice use and one has been signed in ink "Julius Erving 76ers" rating a 7. They come with a letter of authenticity. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
