The New York Mets not only posted their first winning record in 1969, they shocked the baseball world by winning the World Series just eight years into the franchise's existence. Tommie Agee, Ed Kranepool, Cleon Jones, Art Shamsky, Tom Seaver, Jerry Koosman and then-little known reliever Nolan Ryan will long be remembered for their improbable and remarkable achievement. Offered here is a 14K gold 1969 New York Mets World Champions pendant that is highlighted by 5 diamond chips situated in the lower right corner. The pendant measures 1" x 1-1/8" and is engraved "To Keet From Bill Shea" on the reverse, which features a baseball at the top left inscribed with the scores of the Mets' playoff series against the Braves. The pendant grades near mint.
