Sammy Sosa is known as one of the elite hitters of his time. He became the only player to have back to back to back 60 home run seasons and reached the 500 home run milestone in 2003. This cracked Sammy Sosa game-used bat has evidence of tremendous game use. The barrel is covered with ball-hit, ball stitch, blue ball transfer, cleat, and red bat rack marks. The cracked handle has a moderate coat of pine tar and the knob has been heavily wrapped with tape. The taped knob is a Sosa game-used bat characteristic. Sosa's player number '21' is written in gold ink on the knob and barrel end. The bat has been autographed by Sammy and the inscription reads, "Sammy Sosa # 21, Game Used 2002, Career Home Run 456." The signature grades an 8 and the bat comes with a letter signed by Sammy Sosa. Manufacturer: Rawlings, Model #: 170B, Labeling Period: 2002, Length: 34-1/2 in, Weight: 33.5 oz, Wood: Ash, Finish: Black. The bat and autograph each come with a letter from PSA/DNA.
