This wood plaque, which measures approximately 15-1/2" x 22", was awarded to Elston Howard by the Bronx Little Leagues in 1962 and remained in his personal collection ever since then. There is a scroll-like plaque engraved "Elston Howard N.Y. Yankees / A token of the esteem and affection in which we hold you and for your exemplary character, on and off the field, which has set an example for the boys of our community. / Presented by the 37 Bronx Little Leagues on Little League Day - 1962." The plaque is in excellent to near mint condition with no major flaws to speak of. It comes with a letter of authenticity from Howard's wife Arlene.
