Dave Wannstedt was named head coach of the Miami Dolphins in 2000 after spending 1999 as the assistant coach. This lot includes a shirt worn by Wannstedt on the sidelines and jerseys from two of his players, Brian Walker and Kenny Mixon. In the neck of the Kenny Mixon jersey is a white label reading "99-48" denoting the year and size, respectively. At the base of the "V" neck is the "NFL" patch and below is the name "Dolphins" in teal embroidered stitch. On the left front tail is the "Nike" label and adjacent is the "6"LB" label denoting six extra inches in body length. On the back of the shirt is a white nameplate with the name "Mixon" in teal on orange tackle twill. The player number "13" appears on the front, back and on each shoulder of the jersey. The numbers are made of teal on orange/black tackle twill. There are strips of Velcro on the bottom front and back of the shirt. There are some stains on the bottom back of the shirt and some slight fraying on the numbers. The jersey shows even wear throughout and shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. In the neck of the Brian Walker jersey, a white label reading "99-44" denotes the year and size, respectively. At the base of the "V" neck is the "NFL" patch and below is the name "Dolphins" in teal embroidered stitch. On the back of the shirt is a white nameplate with the name "Walker" in white on teal on orange tackle twill. The player number "45" appears on the front, back and on each shoulder of the jersey. The numbers are made of teal on orange/black tackle twill. There are strips of Velcro on the bottom front and back of the shirt. There is some slight fraying on the numbers. The jersey shows even wear throughout and shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. The Dave Wannstedt coach's shirt has the "Reebok" manufacturers tag in the collar with the size "XL." Below this is a white patch reading "DW." On the left front breast is the Dolphins logo patch and on the back is the "NFL" patch. The shirt shows nice wear. Each piece was originally sold by the NFL as part of their "NFL Authentics" program and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
