Just seven years into their existence, the 1972 Miami Dolphins accomplished a feat that had not previously been reached and has yet to be matched. The Fish ran the table, posting a 14-0 mark in the NFL's only perfect season to date. Only a handful of teams have come close to duplicating the feat, but thus far every effort has ended with Nick Buoniconti and the boys celebrating their rare accomplishment as team after team has fallen short of the mark. The Russell Athletic Miami Dolphins sideline jacket offered here was worn by offensive lineman Jim Langer during the magical '72 campaign and shows tremendous wear. A six-time Pro-Bowler, Langer played every down for the Dolphins in 1972 and appeared in a team-record 128 consecutive games. The jacket reads "Dolphins" across the back has retained its luster quite nicely over the years. It has a hole on the left sleeve and some fraying to the pockets. A LOA signed by Langer accompanies the jacket.
