26 members of the World Championship 1999 New York Yankees have signed this game jersey that has Derek Jeter's number "2" on the back. Players with a significant achievement during the season also noted it along with their signature. For example: Mariano Rivera has added "W.S. MVP" and David Cone has added "P.G. 7/18/99", the date of his perfect game. Other signers include Joe Torre, Derek Jeter, Roger Clemens, Daryl Strawberry, Willie Randolph, Tino Martinez, Shane Spencer, El Duke, Chris Chambliss, Tony Cloninger, Don Zimmer, Paul O'Neill, Joe Girardi, Bernie Williams, Andy Pettitte, and others. The signatures are all in blue Sharpie and rate between 8 and 10. On the left sleeve of the jersey is a black armband and number "5" in honor of the late Joe DiMaggio, and on the right sleeve is the 1999 World Series patch. The jersey was manufactured by Russell Athletic and only nine were signed in this particular edition.
