Although he never played a minute in the Majors, Joe McCarthy became one of the greatest managers in the game of baseball. After a 24 year career, he retired with a .614 winning percentage, the highest in history, and seven World Championships under his belt. He was elected into Baseball's Hall of Fame in 1957. McCarthy signed this beautifully cream colored unofficial ball "To Tom Eakin, With Best Wishes, Joe McCarthy." The black ink signature and inscription are nearly flawless, rating 9 to near 10 and appearing so bold and vivid that it appears to be freshly signed. This is unquestionably one of the strongest McCarthy singles in the hobby. The autograph comes with a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
