Dave Parker's career began when he replaced Roberto Clemente as the right fielder for the Pittsburgh Pirates. As Parker's tall frame filled out, he became an imposing hitter, capable of batting for power and average. His powerful right arm compared with Clemente's and was best shown off during the 1979 All-Star game, when Parker cut down two runners on the bases. He won three Gold Gloves. On the inside back tail is the "Rawlings" label with the size "46" and adjacent is the wash tag. Across the front of the jersey is the name "Pirates." The player number "39" appears on both the left breast and on the back of the shirt. The letters and numbers are made of black on mustard-color tackle twill. There is an autograph in the neck of the shirt which rates a 9. The Clemente memorial patch is missing from the left sleeve. The jersey shows game-use and with the exception of the missing memorial patch, appears to have no other alterations of any kind. The autograph comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
