During his playing days in the 1940s and 50s Hoot Evers was a two time all star and during the 1950 season he even hit for the cycle. He retired from play following the 1956 season but remained in and around baseball for years to come. In the early 1970s he was a coach with the Cleveland Indians. On the left front tail is the "Wilson" label with the size "44." Below this is a white label with the year "1970" in red chain stitch. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Indians" and on the back is the coaches number "14." All of the letters and numbers are done in blue on white on red tackle twill that has a 3-D effect. On the left sleeve is the Indians embroidered logo patch. The jersey shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
