All but a lock for the Hall of Fame Paul Molitor's 3,319 hits put high up on the all-time list. This jersey was worn by Molitor in 1986 when he added 123 to the total. In back inside tail of the jersey is a gray patch reading "86-44S" denoting year and size respectively. Next to this is an additional gray patch reading "Molitor." On the left front tail is the "Sand Knit" label with the size "44" and the "Designed and Tailored Exclusively for the Milwaukee Brewers" label. Across the front of the jersey is the team name "Brewers" and below this is the player number "4" which also appears on the back of the jersey. All letters and numbers are made of blue yellow tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the "Sully" patch commemorating the death of Brewers equipment manager Frank Sullivan shortly before the 1986 season. The jersey shows even wear throughout with slight buckling evident on the numbers. All stitching is original and consistent with other jerseys from that era that we have seen. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
