Willie Stargell was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1988. During his 21-year career with the Pirates, Stargell batted .282 with 2,232 hits, 475 home runs and 1,540 RBI’s, helping his team capture two National League pennants and two World Series titles in 1971 and 1979. On the inside back left tail is the Rawlings manufacturers tag size “46” with washing instructions. Across the chest reads “PIRATES”. The player number “8” appears below and on the back. All numbering and lettering is done in black on gold tackle twill. The black rectangular patch on the left sleeve in memorial of Roberto Clemente has been removed but a clear outline is visible. Baseball related staining and evidence of season’s long wear is present. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows outstanding use. Accompanied by a MEARS LOA grading the jersey a 9.5.
