Inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1993, Walter “Sweetness” Payton was named to the NFL 1970s and 1980s All-Decade Team in addition to the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team. Payton was named AP First-Team All-Pro six times and his No. 34 is retired by the Chicago Bears franchise. On the front left tail is the Wilson manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached are two flag tags reading “44” and “FX”. The player number “34” appears on the front, on the back, on each sleeve and across the back reads the player name “PAYTON” on a navy blue mesh nameplate. All numbering and lettering is done in vinyl lettering that is white with an orange-border. Below the player number on the left sleeve reads, “GSH”. Payton signed the back of the jersey inside the “4” in blue marker and is heavily faded. There are numerous large team repairs throughout the jersey. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows excellent use. Accompanied by an ALOA from JSA.
