Gary Carter was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003 and was the heart and soul of a New York Mets team that took the MLB by storm in the mid 1980s. An 11-time All-Star, Carter is also in the New York Mets Hall of Fame. In the rear neck is the Rawlings manufacturers tag size “46” with washing instructions. Attached is a flag tag reading “SET 1 1985”. Adjacent below is a strip tag reading “46 85 8” embroidered in blue which has been incorrectly restored. Across the chest reads “Mets” in script style writing. Adjacent below and on the back is the player number “8”. Across the back on a grey nameplate is the player name “CARTER”. All numbering and lettering is done in blue on orange tackle twill. Carter signed the front of the jersey in blue marker and in our opinion the signature rates an 8. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
