Cazzie Russell was the No. 1 overall pick of the 1966 NBA Draft. After making the NBA All-Rookie First Team, Russell was part of the 1969-1970 NBA champion New York Knicks and was an All-Star. Russell scored over 12,000 points in his NBA career. On the inside of the rear left tail is a “GERRY cosby” distributor’s tag with a size “46” hanging flag tag attached. Adjacent is a “69” year tag. Across the chest reads, “NEW YORK” and the player number “33” both done in orange on blue tackle twill. The trim on the jersey is done in three colors; orange, white and blue. This trim is exclusive to the 1969-1970 season and validates this jersey as being from the Knicks Championship season. Across the back reads the player name, “RUSSELL” in blue tackle twill. Below is the player number, 33” done in orange on blue tackle twill. On the rear waistband of the shorts is the name “RUSSELL” sewn into a faded orange strip tag. Below is a “GERRY cosby” distributor’s tag with a size “34” hanging flag tag attached. There are team colors on the waistband and running down the both legs. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use.
