On September 24, 1957 the Brooklyn Dodgers played their last game at Ebbets Field in Brooklyn as they packed up and moved the franchise to Los Angeles. “SPALDING” manufactured ONL Giles baseball. Inscribed on the ball in black ink is “LAST GAME EBBETS FIELD 9/24/57” and “HODGES FOUL BALL 3RD IN.” in an unknown hand. The ball shows obvious signs of game-use. Accompanied by a 1957 Dodger Year Book.
