On January 1, 2004, Jonathan Vilma and the University of Miami defeated the Florida State Seminoles 16-14 in the Orange Bowl. Below the inner rear collar of the jersey is the “Nike” manufacturer’s tag with size “46”. On the v-neck is the Miami “U” logo embroidered in orange and green. On the left shoulder is a “FedEx Orange Bowl” patch embroidered in purple, orange, green and gold. Adjacent below is the Nike “Swoosh” logo embroidered in green. On the right chest is “THE BIG EAST” patch embroidered in orange, green and white. Across the front, on back and on each shoulder is the player number “51” screenprinted in green and orange. Across the back is the player name “VILMA” screenprinted in green on a white nameplate. Vilma has signed the front right shoulder in black marker with the added inscriptions “51” and “1/2/04 Go Canes!!”, in our opinion the signature rates an 8. On the inner left waistband is the “Nike” manufacturer’s tag with size “34”. Adjacent to the left is the player number “51” written in blue marker. The uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
