This 1988 World Series Championship Trophy stands nearly 12” tall with a black wooden base that measures approximately 7” x 7” x 2-½”. It was presented to team photographer Andrew Bernstein following the team’s 1988 World Series victory, the franchise’s sixth Championship. The trophy features a gold-colored crown atop a circular centerpiece with a silver-colored baseball below surrounded by 26 gold flags, each with a team name enameled in black. The World Series press pins for both the Athletics and Dodgers are mounted on the base. A brass band surrounding the base has been engraved and enameled in black to read, “LOS ANGELES DODGERS - WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY - PRESENTED BY THE COMMISSIONER OF BASEBALL - OCTOBER 20, 1988 - ANDREW J. BERNSTEIN”. The trophy weighs 7 lbs. and is in VG condition, the ball atop the Indians flag is no longer present and the threading for the centerpiece is loose.
