“Rawlings” manufactured OAL Budig baseball. Stamped on the ball is a large number “8” and “RIPKEN 2130 - 2131 - Orioles”. This ball was used on September 6, 1995 during a game in which the Baltimore Orioles defeated the California Angels by a score of 4-2 and Cal Ripken Jr. surpassed Lou Gehrig’s consecutive games streak, set in 1939, by playing is his 2,131st consecutive game. The ball has been signed by Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr. (ss) in blue ink. The ball has also been signed, in black ink, by HP Umpire Larry Barnett with the added inscription “#22”, 1B Umpire Greg Kosc with the added inscription “#18”, 2B Umpire Dan Morrison with the added inscription “A.L. Umpire #36” and 3B Umpire Al Clark with the added inscription “AL Ump #24” who all worked the game that night. In our opinion the signatures rate a strong 8 overall. The ball shows excellent signs of game-use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA, an additional LOA from American League Umpire #34 Dan Morrison on an American League Baseball letterhead and an additional LOA.
