One of the best closers in baseball, Smith was a 7-time All-Star, 4-time Saves Leader and 3-time Rolaids Relief Man of the Year. Below the inner rear collar is the “Rawlings” manufacturer’s tag with size “48” and wash instructions. Adjacent below is a blue strip tag with “46 87 2 48” embroidered in white. On the left chest is a large “CUBS” logo embroidered in red and blue on white tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the Chicago “Bear” logo embroidered in the same red and blue on white tackle twill. On the right sleeve is “Rawlings” embroidered in white. Across the back is the player name “L. SMITH”. Adjacent below is the player number “46”. Both are done in the same red on white tackle twill. Smith has signed the “6” on the back of the jersey in black marker with the added inscription “#46”, in our opinion the signature rates a strong 9. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use. Accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
