Rickey Henderson is widely regarded as the best leadoff hitter and baserunner the MLB has ever seen. Henderson had one of his best seasons in 1990 as he was named the AL MVP, the AL Stolen Base Leader, the Silver Slugger and made his ninth All-Star appearance. He was elected into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2009. On the inner front left tail is the “Rawlings” manufacturer’s tag with size “42” and wash instructions. Adjacent below is a grey strip tag reading “1 90” embroidered in green. Across the front reads “OAKLAND”. Adjacent below and on back is the player number “24”. All are done in the same green on gold tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the Athletics “Elephant” logo embroidered in yellow, green and white on green tackle twill. On the right sleeve reads “Rawlings” embroidered in green. Between the second and third buttons are two corresponding strips of velcro. Across the back is the player name “HENDERSON” in green tackle twill on a grey nameplate. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use.
