World Series Champion and three-time Gold Glove Award winner Gary “Kid” Carter was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2003. Inside the batting helmet is an “american baseball cap” size “7 ¼” manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent is a warning label. On the back of the helmet reads “CARTER” over the “ABC” logo sticker. On the front is a “SF” orange decal. Carer signed the bill of the helmet in silver marker and in our opinion, rates an 8. “Franklin” manufactured black batting gloves with orange trim. Each strap on each glove has “Kid 8” written on it in gold pen. Inside on the sweatband is a “New Era PRO MODEL” manufacturer’s tag. Adjacent is a “7 ¼” flag tag and an “MLB Authentic Diamond Collection” tag. On the underside of the brim, player number “8” is written in black marker. On the front, an orange “SF” logo is embroidered. These items are properly tagged, were presented to us as game-used and in our opinion show excellent use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA and a Carter Foundation LOA.

Lots 128–136 presented in this auction are consigned to us directly from the Carter Family in an effort to raise money for their charity, The Gary Carter Foundation.

The Gary Carter Foundation aims to better the physical, mental and spiritual well being of children as well as its primary focus, the Autism Project of Palm Beach County. We are proud supporters of their efforts and hope that the auctioning off of these items aids their efforts.
