The best relief pitcher of all time Mariano Rivera won five World Series Championships and was the World Series MVP in 1999. He holds the MLB record for saves and was the five-time AL Rolaids Relief Man Award. Rivera made his final appearance at Fenway Park on 9/15/2013 wearing this jersey, when the Red Sox presented Mariano Rivera with farewell gifts before the game. Rivera did not pitch in this particular contest and this jersey was worn on the bench. On the left front tail is a “Majestic” manufacturer’s tag with two flag tags attached that read “46” and “2013”. On the manufacturer’s tag is MLB hologram sticker “510098EK” and Steiner Sports hologram sticker “200869”. Below the tag is Yankees barcode “0000003754”. On the left inseam is a tag that reads “100% POLYESTER” with washing instructions. Across the front reads “NEW YORK”. On the back is player number “42”. These are both done in the same navy blue on white tackle twill sewn directly onto the grey jersey. Above the player number is an official “MLB” logo embroidered on the rear collar. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows light use. Accompanied by a Steiner Sports LOA.
