In 2006, Derek Jeter and Joe Mauer of the Minnesota Twins were battling for the AL batting title. Mauer finished ahead of Jeter, batting .347 over Jeter’s .343 average, but Jeter did all he could on 9/30/2006, going three for three with three runs and a walk. On the front left tail is a “Majestic” manufacturer’s tag. Attached are two flag tags “48” and a blank tag. On the tag are two hologram stickers, Steiner Sports and MLB “222048BB”. On the left inseam is a “100% POLYESTER” tag with washing instructions. Outside on the rear collar is an official “MLB” logo embroidered. On the left chest is an “NY” logo in navy blue tackle twill. On the back is player number “2” in navy blue tackle twill. Jeter signed the jersey below the logo on the left chest in blue pen with the added inscription “2006 Game Used” and in our opinion rates an 8. Inside the rear waistline of the pants is a “Majestic” manufacturer’s tag. Two hologram stickers are on the tag, Steiner Sports and MLB “31938”. Attached adjacent is a strip tag that reads “2 Jeter 35-37 35 06”. On the inner button path is a tag that reads “100% POLYESTER” with washing instructions. There are good signs of game-use with dirt staining below the logo on the chest, left sleeve and rear tail. This uniform is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows excellent use. Accompanied by an LOA from JSA.
