The Oakland A’s did not wear numbers on the front of their jerseys during the regular season. The front numbers were added for the playoffs and World Series. The A’s were World Champs in 1972. Inside the front tail is the “McAuliffe” manufacturer’s tag. Above is the year “1972” label and below is the size “42” label. At the left chest is the team “A’s” logo. Player number “20” appears on both the front and back. All these numbers and letters are done in white on green tackle twill. Player name “HEGAN” appears across the back in green tackle twill. The jersey is properly tagged, was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion, shows excellent use.
