Reggie Jackson became a free-agent again once the 1981 season was over. The owner of the California Angels, legendary entertainer Gene Autry, had heard of Jackson's desire to return to California to play, and signed him to a five-year contract. Jackson was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1993. On the left front tail is the “W.A. Goodman & Sons” manufacturer’s tag with wash instructions and jersey size “46”. Across the front is “Angels”. Player number “44” appears on both the front and back. Player name “JACKSON” appears across the back. All numbers and letters are done in red on navy blue tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the state of California with a halo embroidered patch. Above the manufacturer’s tag on front is a faded Jackson signature done in blue marker that is difficult to make out. The jersey shows game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. It is accompanied by a LOA from JSA.
