Hall of Famer and NBA Top 50 Player Bill Walton's professional career began when he was the No. 1 overall pick in the 1974 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers. He was a member of their championship team in 1977 and nine years later he earned another championship title with the Boston Celtics. Offensively, Bill Walton could score at will from the post position, his best move being a jump hook that he shot with either hand. He was a team leader on defense, and also was a superb rebounder and outlet passer on the fast break. Jack Ramsay once said that if injuries hadn't curtailed Bill Walton's career, he would have been recognized as the best all-around center ever. On the inside front tail is the "Sand-Knit" manufacturers size 46 tag. Next to this tag is the "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Boston Celtics" tag. Across the front of the jacket is "CELTICS" in white on yellow screen print. On each sleeve is the official "Celtics Shamrock" logo screen printed in white on yellow. On the back is the player name "WALTON" in green tackle twill ironed on a white nameplate. The jacket shows wear and appears to have no alterations of any kind.
