Dave DeBusschere (deceased) spent the best years of his career in New York with the Knicks. He became one of the most talented and feared players in the league and one of the greatest power forwards the NBA had ever seen. He was a two-time NBA Champion, an eight time All-Star, a member of the NBA Top 50 All-Time team and in 1983 was elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame. This is a two year trim-style shirt, being worn during the Championship season of 1969-70 as well as the season before. On the left front tail is the size “46” tag. This is the only tag that is on the jersey. Adjacent is an outline of an additional manufacturer’s tag that was previously on the jersey that is no longer present. Across the front is “NEW YORK” in orange on blue tackle twill. Below on front and on back is the player number “22” in the same tackle twill. Across the back is the player name “DeBUSSCHERE” in blue tackle twill. Autographed on front in black marker and rates a 6. The jersey shows excellent game-use and with the exception of a tag no longer being present appears to have no further alterations of any kind. It is accompanied by a copy of a hand-signed LOA from DeBusschere himself which states in part “this is to certify that the enclosed New York Knicks home jersey was the original jersey worn by me between the years 1969-1973 (signed) Dave Debusschere. This jersey was worn at the height of the team’s and player’s prowess. The autograph is accompanied by a LOA from JSA. It is further accompanied by an additional LOA.
