The Indiana Pacers were the most successful team in the ABA's history, winning three ABA Championships in four years. In all, they appeared in the ABA Finals five times in the league's nine year history. The 1972-1973 season marked their second consecutive championship. Although they had finished four games behind the Utah Stars in the Western division, the Pacers defeated them in a six-game division finals and advanced to the ABA finals, where they defeated the Kentucky Colonels in a grueling seven-game marathon. This size 10-1/2 ring has been cast in yellow gold. On the top center are set three round genuine diamonds surrounded by "ABA World Champions ABA" in relief. On the right shank, all in relief, is a scoreboard banner that reads "88 Period 81". Below this a player with Pacers jersey taking a hook shot, with basketball, net and ABA logo above him. To the right is "70 72 73" and on the bottom is a chevron engraved "May 12." On the left shank, all in relief, is a banner with the name "Tinkham" engraved. Below this is "Indiana Pacers" around a Pacers logo. "Herff Jones HJ 10K" is stamped inside the ring. Overall EXMT or better condition with light wear, sharp relief.
