One of the great one-on-one players in professional basketball, Roger Brown was the first player ever signed by the ABA's Indiana Pacers. Spending his entire career in the ABA, this four-time All-Star earned three championship rings, scoring a total of 10,498 points. He was the second ABA player to reach the 10,000 point mark and is one of only four players to have his jersey number retired by the Pacers. This trophy was presented to Indiana Pacer Roger Brown for his milestone 10,000th career point. Cylindrical 8-1/4" diameter dark brown wood base with 4-1/4" tall gold colored ball tray for a total height of 8-1/2", front brass plaque reads "Bill Daniels, ABA President's Trophy, Roger Brown, Indiana Pacers, Nov. 9, 1972, 2nd ABA Player To Score 10,000 Career Points." Underneath the base is the Balfour manufacturer's sticker. Resting atop the trophy is a tricolor Rawlings RSS Official American Basketball Association (Dolph) basketball, game-used during Brown's 10,000 point run. The trophy is in overall EXMT condition with some minor scratches and nicks on the wood base, tray shows light tarnishing, basketball shows nice game-use.
