Considered to be the greatest pure small forward of all time, tenacious HOFer Rick Barry combined a deadly outside shot with deep knowledge and execution of team defense principles, and was named one of the 50 Greatest Players in history by the NBA in 1996. He is the only player to have ever led the NCAA, ABA and NBA in scoring for an individual season. This trophy was presented to Rick Barry on the occasion of his 10,000th career point. Cylindrical 8" diameter dark brown wood base with 4-3/8" tall gold colored ball tray with 11-1/2" semi-circular gold arc with 4-3/4" gold colored basketball player figure mounted on the apex. Front brass plaque reads "Rick Barry, New York Nets, The Ball Barry Used To Score His 10,000th Career Point In The American Basketball Association, Game At Denver, Dec. 14, 1971." Underneath the base is the Balfour manufacturer's sticker. Resting inside the arc is a tricolor Rawlings Official American Basketball Association (Dolph) basketball, game-used and the very ball Barry used to score his 10,000th point. The trophy is in overall EXMT or better condition with a few tiny nicks on the wood base, tray and arc show very light tarnishing in a few spots, basketball shows nice game use.
