Although quiet and soft-spoken, Harmon Killebrew epitomized raw power. He hit an astounding 573 career round-trippers, a mark surpassed only by Babe Ruth among American League sluggers. Over his 22-year career with the Senators, Twins, and Royals, he tied or led the league in home runs six times, belted 40 or more in eight seasons, and knocked in 100 or more runs nine times. "Killer" won the American League MVP Award in 1969, when he led the league in home runs, RBIs, walks, and on-base percentage. On the left front tail of the jersey is the "Spalding" manufacturer's tag. Below this tag embroidered in the jersey in navy blue stitch is "Killebrew 3 44 64." On the inside back collar is an additional manufacturer's tag with "Killebrew" in script embroidered in navy blue. Across the front of the jersey is "Twins" in script. On the back of the jersey is the player number "3." All lettering and numbering is done in navy blue on red tackle twill. On the left sleeve is the embroidered official "Twins" logo patch. On the inside waistline of the pants is the "Spalding" manufacturer's tag. Next to this tag is the wash instructions tag. On the waistline in the back of the pants is a navy blue stitched embroidered strip tag "Killebrew 36/38 3 Set 2 26ins 64." The jersey and pants show light game-use and appear to have no alterations of any kind.
