Known for his attention to detail, coach Jack Ramsay's teams were always well drilled and disciplined. "Dr. Jack" compiled a 234-72 record at St. Joseph's, including a run of 10 post-season tournaments. Prior to coaching, Jack had played at St. Joseph's and as a pro in the Eastern League. In 1967, he was General Manager of the NBA Champion Philadelphia 76ers. Ramsay coached in the NBA for 21 years with Philadelphia, Buffalo, Portland and Indiana, taking the Trail Blazers to the 1977 NBA Championship. When he retired in 1989, his 864 victories ranked second in league history. Ramsay was named one of the top 10 coaches in NBA history in 1996. Silver Relief medallion. In NM condition.
