The most memorable moment in Giants history came when Bobby Thompson's famous "Shot Heard Around the World" completed the Giants improbable run to the 1951 NL Pennant. Having tied the Brooklyn Dodgers on the last day of the season, a three game play-off series was played to decide the pennant winner. Thompson's home run in the Giant's last at bat clinched the pennant and his place in New York Giants history. These two Mitchell & Ness "TBC" jerseys were made for Willie Mays and Barry Bonds to wear on 9/16/01 at a Giants game commemorating the 50th anniversary of Thompson's home run. Due to 9/11, the game was cancelled and the jerseys were never worn by the two Hall of Famers. Both jerseys have "Giants" across the front in orange and black felt letters. The "Cooperstown Collection" tag appears on the left front tail of both jersey's and on the right front tail appears the tag, "T.B.C. 9-16-01". On the left sleeve of both jerseys appears the NL 75th anniversary replica patch. Both jerseys are in near-mint condition. Mays jersey is size XL and Bonds is size XXL.
