This March 1, 1983 personal check for $750 has been written out of the Pete or Jackie Maravich account with "Pistol Pete All Star Camp" as the recipient and "Expenses" written in the "Memo" section. The check #2943, is filled out in thin green marker, in Pete's handwriting. "Pistol Pete" signed the check "Pete Maravich" and his signature rates a 9, with a very slight smudge preventing it from being a near 10. A very small part of the "P" in "Pete" is the only part of the signature that is affected by the cancellation stamp. The check is machine-endorsed "For Deposit Only to Pistol Pete's All Star Basketball Camp" and there is cancellation print on the back. Aside from a very small piece missing on top from when Pete removed the check from his checkbook, the check is in near mint to mint condition. It comes to us directly from Pete's wife Jackie and is accompanied by her letter of authenticity. The check also comes with a letter from PSA/DNA.
