Brandon Jennings was a High School phenom and solid pro for 9 seasons. In his last year of high school at famed Oak Hill, Jennings averaged 35.5 PPG and set the school record for points in a season (1,312), earning him High School’s most prestigious award - 2008 Naismith Prep Player of the Year. This lot features that award as well as his Oak Hill Jersey from this historic year. On the front left tail of this yellow jersey is a size (44) label with ‘ENGINEERED TO THE EXACT SPECIFICATIONS OF CHAMPIONSHIP ATHLETES’ and a ‘LENGTH +4’ tag attached. Team name (OAK HILL) across the front, player number (3) below that and on the back - both done in black and red tackle twill. Nike label inside the back of the neck. This jersey is properly tagged, presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate wear. The trophy is approximately 27” x 14” x 14” and weighs 19 lbs. The trophy is etched with ‘NAISMITH MALE HIGH SCHOOL PLAYER OF THE YEAR TROPHY 2008 BRANDON JENNINGS Oak Hill Academy’. Some of the other notables mentioned on this trophy are - Alonzo Mourning, Jason Kidd, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. The back has a makers mark - ‘DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED BY HJ HERFF JONES’. Accompanied by a photo of Jennings receiving the award. There is minor chipping to the front right corner of the wood base.
