Behind the dominant pitching performances of World Series co-MVPs Randy Johnson and Curt Shilling, the 2001 Arizona Diamondbacks proved that a pair of aces sometimes beats a full-house. Turning the New York Yankees around in a dramatic seven-game Series, Luis Gonzalez ended the game with a walk-off, bloop single thrown by all-time saves leader Mariano Rivera. This stunning, 10K gold diamond-studded, size 9 ½ ring weighs approximately 50 grams and evokes memories of major league baseball’s early foray into the desert. Etched into one shank is the name (MORALES) likely a front office person and the other shank “FASTEST EVER”. Interior band contains a “9-11-1 Never Forget” engraving in reference to the 9-11 terrorist attacks that took place just a month before the Series. The ring is contained in a decorative 2” x 3” cherry wood box with Arizona’s “A” emblazoned atop. The ring and box are in MT condition.
