One of baseball's best all around players Alex Rodriguez gained further notoriety in 2000 when he signed a $252 million dollar contract to play with the Texas Rangers. A six time all star A-Rod has hit over 40 home runs the last four seasons and is well on his way to putting together a tremendous Hall of Fame career. This Louisville Slugger, model C271, was used by Rodriguez during the 2000 season. It is a 33.75 inch, 32 ounce uncracked bat that shows excellent game use. A-Rod has signed the barrel in silver and indicated that the bat was used to hit home run number 26 of the 2000 season with it. This particular home run came off of Yankee pitcher Andy Pettitte. The bat is accompanied by an additional letter of authenticity.
