Mark McGwire put the national sports spotlight on baseball during the 1998 MLB season as the home run chase unfolded towards Roger Maris' single-season record of 61, which he and Sammy both surpassed with BigMac finishing with 70. This is a Rawlings Big Stick MARK McGWIRE MAC 25 pro model bat, which measures 34.5” and weighs 31.55 ounces. This bat shows evidence of minor ball marks / bat rack streaks and a light coat of pine tar. There is a faded handwritten player identifier written on the knob. Also etched into the knob is “MAC25 5 11 98”. This bat was presented to us as game-used and in our opinion shows light use. Accompanied by a PSA/DNA Pre-Certification LOA.
